Lookout tower Doubravka XIV.
The modern Doubravka lookout tower stands in the Čihadla forest park on Horka Hill. It has a unique design thanks to its flexible acacia wood. The height of the tower is 23.5 metres and provides a beautiful view of Prague.

Skautský institut
Head to Old Town Square, not for the Astronomical Clock, Týn Cathedral or Marian Column, but for the Skautský institut. No, we're kidding, but who wants to drown in crowds of tourists? Skautský institut is such a hidden gem in the center of town. It's got a lot of lectures and events every week. In the summer, they run a summer cinema in the courtyard, and they have great beer on tap.

Divoká Šárka
Divoká Šárka is one of the largest natural parks in Prague. You can explore the park by bike or on foot. The Veselík swimming pool is also worth a trip, which you will appreciate on hot summer days. The water here is pretty cold. Divoká Šárka is popular with mountaineers, with more than 100 climbing routes of varying difficulty.

For a trip, head to the farmers' market. There are plenty of places in Prague where markets are held. We recommend the ones at Jiřího z Poděbrad, which are smaller and less busy. For views of rooftops and terraces
Nice views are fun for everyone. For the most picturesque ones, head to the Radost rooftop just outside Riegrovy Sady. The roof of the Lucerna also offers beautiful views, but it is not regularly open, so you need to keep an eye on the official website. For views, also head to the Dancing House and Pankrác to the Aureole restaurant.

Velká Amerika
Velká Amerika, also known as the Czech Grand Canyon, is a huge flooded quarry that is a popular place for hiking. The quarry offers beautiful clear water in which it is forbidden to swim. We recommend viewing the quarry from the paths that run along with several viewing points or from the parking lot at the east end of the quarry.

Karlštejn
The most famous and most visited castle (apart from Prague Castle) in the Czech Republic is located about 30 km from the center of Prague. Karlštejn offers a combination of beautiful nature and history. Explore its richly decorated interior with frescoes and works of art from the late Middle Ages.
Tip: If you have been to Karlštejn and would like to discover it from a bird's eye view, a balloon flight or a flight in the only airship in the Czech Republic will be the right experience.

Průhonice park and castle
One of the most important castle parks in the Czech Republic - Průhonický Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with its collection of plants. The park offers diverse natural scenery, but you must not miss the castle. The castle has appeared in Czech cult films such as The Devils Are No Jokes, Long Live the Ghosts or in the fairy tale The Princess with the Golden Star. St. John under the Rock (Svatý Jan pod Skalou)
The pilgrimage site and supposedly the most beautiful village in Central Bohemia can be found 20 km west of Prague. The village is dominated by the St. John's Rock Wall, which can be climbed. As a reward, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside. Make a trip to the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. The church is connected to the cave of St. Ivan, where this hermit is said to have stayed.
